We are pleased to share that the team at Regstreet Law Advisors had the privilege of contributing to 9th GNLU Moot on Securities & Investment Law 2026, as judges, sponsors and Joint Official Law Firm Partner.
Mr. Sumit Agrawal (Managing Partner), Mr. Kavish Garach (Senior Associate), Ms. Aditi Sahu (Associate) and Mr. Akarsh Tripathi (Associate) judged the oral rounds, from the preliminary rounds to the final rounds, engaging with participants on nuanced and evolving issues in the securities and investment laws.
It was particularly encouraging to witness the depth of research, clarity of thought, and structured advocacy demonstrated by various teams. Platforms such as GNLU Moot on Securities and Investment Law (GNLUMSIL) play a crucial role in bridging the gap between academic study and the real world application. The moot problem this year was drafted by Agama Law Associates, led by its Principal Associate Mr. Ravishekhar Pandey with his team members Mr. Rushikesh Dusane and Mr. Ankit Ujjwal. GNLUMSIL was led by Prof. (Dr.) Girish R. and his team. It will be a miss not to congratulate and honour the winning team University Institute of Legal Studies, Panjab University, Chandigarh which comprised of Manraj Singh Chandpuri, Navnoor Rana and Harliv Kaur Mundi. The team from Maharashtra National Law University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar comprising Sarbani Chakraborti, Soumil Sharma and Himanshu Yadav were the runners-up. Sarbani Chakraborti was declared Best Orator (Final rounds).
The Final Rounds were judged by Mr. Sandeep Parekh of Finsec Law Advisors, Mr. Joby Mathew, Mr. Amber Gupta of NSE India and our Mr. Sumit Agrawal (associated with GNLUMSIL since its inception in 2015).
We extend our appreciation to the organisers at Gujarat National Law University, Gandhinagar for putting together a well-conducted competition, and to all participating teams for the rigour and preparation reflected in their arguments.
