Our Managing Partner, Sumit Agrawal, former SEBI Officer, delivered a session on โ๐๐ฆ๐จ๐ถ๐ญ๐ข๐ต๐ฐ๐ณ๐บ & ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ญ๐ช๐ข๐ฏ๐ค๐ฆ ๐ง๐ฐ๐ณ ๐๐ข๐ณ๐ญ๐บ-๐๐ต๐ข๐จ๐ฆ ๐๐ต๐ข๐ณ๐ต๐ถ๐ฑ๐ดโ for the Samriddhi Acceleration Program- Edition 2, organised by i-Hub Gujarat, an initiative supported by the Government of Gujarat, and FundEnable.
Addressing a cohort of 38 startups, Mr. Sumit Agrawal discussed how founders can build businesses that are not only innovative and scalable, but also investor-ready and resilient.
The session covered:
a. Corporate structuring and statutory compliance
b. Fundraising instruments, FDI and investor due diligence
c. ESOP documentation and cap-table discipline
d. Sector-specific considerations for defence, SpaceTech, semiconductors, CleanTech and manufacturing
e. Intellectual property protection and data privacy
f. Directorsโ personal exposure, insurance and incident response
Through real-world case studies, Mr. Agrawal highlighted how seemingly routine compliance gaps can disrupt operations, delay fundraising and erode enterprise value.
The central takeaway was simple – compliance is a one-time setup followed by routine discipline. When the right habits are built early, compliance becomes a growth lever, not a burden.
